Overview

The Challenge

Currently, internal engineers and external installers at Tesla face challenges with the complex and time-intensive nature of energy product installation, activation, operation, management, data tracking and collection. This process contrasts sharply with the company's more efficient vehicle fulfillment process.

The Solution

The strategy is aimed at streamlining these processes to enhance the web and a portion of native app experience. This involves refining digital tools and applications to offer intuitive energy management solutions, thereby supporting the company's digital transformation and operational scalability.

Outcome

Increased Installers' Working Efficiency by 80%

After the project's release in June 2024, data collected from site construction engineers and deployment managers showed that installers reduced their installation, registration and commissioning time from 5 hours to 1 hour when working on 40 Superchargers at a site, achieving an 80% efficiency improvement.

Increased Tesla Revenue for $20 Million in Q2 2024

According to the analytics report, my design will help Tesla secure $20 million in fuel credits from the U.S. government and is projected to generate over $170 million in revenue in 2024, accounting for 10% of Tesla's total revenue.

Widely Used by 15,000 Installers Daily and 6 Teams in the US and EMEA

My design is actively used by over 15,000 installers daily across the US and EMEA. It is also scalable, replacing current forms used by 6 Tesla teams, including Partner Portal, Ranger, Quality, Install, Optimus, and others, with over 4,000 forms submitted daily.
